No snow this time around, but 17 fixed gear racers, including five femme, braved the brick temperatures of ~30°F

and a selection six quick checkpoints between 59th street and Maiden Lane. First to leave the start and first to arrive at the finish within 50 minutes, @trackbikes22 came in strong 💪 followed soon after, @traceyhinder arrived sixth overall, first femme to finish. Our podium consisted of:

This edition of Icy Cat, and likely more to follow, was loosely inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog of the Genesis days, with each contender needing to collect rings, and chaos emeralds at each checkpoint. Competitors ended their race at local 42, in Hell’s Kitchen, where hosts there gracefully provided delicious food and beverages, as we celebrated and discussed all of the fun obstacles and challenges that happened in between.
