October was a busy month for the BMA with our weekly cargobike series. We started the month off with the cargo sprints once again at Pier 40. We had some first time cargo racers, but in the end, it was a battle of omniums as Alex M. and Outtatowner Bennet J. went head to head, sprinting while carrying buckets of water. The special guest from Germany, Bennett took the “W” for the sprints while Alex M. took 2nd. Thanks again to Juni, for keeping the modelos flowing all night!

The cargo laps were postponed due to rain but the Cargocat went off without a hitch! The cargos came out to play and Tracey H. even came out to race on Coco’s omnium. It was a pretty even race with half the racers on Omnium, and the other half on larryvsharry Bullit bikes. We had different pick ups at each checkpoint with everything to be delivered to the finish. It was a quick race but a bit technical for the cargo crowd. Dane came in hot on the Omnium to take first overall but Pat was right behind him by seconds on the Bullit! Alex M. came in 3rd overall and we even cut some Bday cake and sang for him after the race! Lots of fun all night and we can’t wait to watch how this cargo series grows next year.
