Inspired by the legendary Bridge Battle, THE NYCBMA ended the series with grand finale…Bridge Side Boogie!

Racers met at the lighthouse on Roosevelt island. The race start was a scramble with only one way out. For a few racers it all came down to a split second decision on which checkpoint to hit first. Racers made their way from Randall’s island into the Bronx before heading south across the QB bridge for the timed section of the race. frannco took home the KOM as well as the trash messenger bags polka dot hip pouch for the series. lalo, repping Queens, took first place for Bridge Side Boogie, placing him on top of the Borolympics leaderboard. toni came in right on Lalo’s tail, but due to missing a checkpoint was DQ’d giving Louis aka roach 2nd place, followed by Frannco. tracey and gabby were neck and neck throughout the whole race but in the end, Tracey pulled up first to the finish. Both women crushed it the entire race, coming in top 10. anna took 3rd for the WTF field. The final quick lock competition and the white hip pouch was taken by josh.

Huge shoutout to the two women owned businesses Dank & sweet tooth, for sponsoring the registration of all WTFNB racers. Salute to yaz, for being grill master once again and sweet tooth for providing food to feed all racers, checkpoint workers and everyone else celebrating the finale. Thank you cali aka the honey cafe, for keeping the music and vibes going.

None of this would be possible if it wasn’t for all our racers, race organizers, volunteers, and fans of the series purchasing merch, thank you for making this happen. It was exciting to watch the results leading up to the finale with such a close race for the most points between dane and Lalo, thank you for all your efforts and putting your neck on the line to chase that W. This is a long overdue congratulations to the 2024 Borolympics champions, Lalo & Tracey for collecting the most points in the Open and WTF categories and being awarded a trip to naccc 2024, to represent their boroughs and NYC!
