Fourteen participants in this cold edition of the fixed-gear-only alleycat. Grateful to have people come out to redefine the odds, endure the ice cold flakes hitting the eyes in traffic, and come thru to the finish to enjoy Irregular Pizza at Baker Falls. Each checkpoint had volunteered validation workers (thank you!!), sparing any selfies that would’ve been declined. Along the six checkpoints spread across Manhattan in 30°F, I figured the race would’ve lasted more than an hour, but the top five overall finishers proved me wrong. Coming in right behind Toni, placing first, Xavier made a spicy impression practically shadowing Toni by arriving second. Mister Macay was right behind within seconds. A very impressive outcome to say the least! Watch out for these riders this year.

Top podium winners in their respective category split the pot entry as the grand prize. There was no sponsors. We supported ourselves, and had a great memorable Saturday to ring in the new year. Not to mention, going outta the way to make sure all people involved were able to get a complimentary slice of zuh. I really hope y’all had a blast.
