Manhattan kicked off the Borolympics this past weekend seamlessly. Shout out to our hosts julio, the mastermind behind the manifest, and nycl sam, who both welcomed us to their home borough, and made us feel like family. Thank you to jerome, for being the grill master and Pat, for manning the dab bar. We’re so grateful for the local sponsors, city veterinary care, for providing a gift certificate towards a pet check up and some hats. nectar (nyc women owned) for the 💐, and slowpokes syrup, for breaking out the infused Gatorade to rehydrate and medicate the racers. Last but not least thank you to the checkpoint volunteers, and all the racers for participating!

Queens took the lead in the alleycat with lalo in first place, the Bronx repped by nemo and toni r. taking 2nd and 3rd, respectively. The top 5, including frannco and josh, collecting bonus leader points to move them further up on the leaderboard. Philly squad rolled deep, taking first in WTF and NB categories in both the alleycat and the climb. dan, staying alive with 3pts, thanks to having the fastest hill climb in the open category.

nycl sam held Manhattan down and came out as quick lock champ, defeating the OG triplerush (aka monstertrack victor) in a surprising quick lock final. dane being one of the last Borolympics racers standing in quick lock takes the 1pt for Staten Island.
