This edition of the teams-of-two relay race was the first of its kind to start and end north, from 125th street stretching to 23rd street, and back, staying only on said avenues. Twenty six riders ie 13 teams of two. One person from a team goes the distance and collects checkpoints coming back. Upon returning, the alternating teammate departs to collect checkpoints heading down, and sprints to return, the fate falling on the fastest pair..!
