Closing the gap between our finalists and to the end of the winter series, we celebrate our boroughs by commuting select bridges throughout. twenty two overall registered racers, five femme.
Our series concluded with Bridge Blitz - twenty two (22) racers crossing six (6) various bridges between Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn, ending at carreau club, who blessed us with a roof over our heads, supplying drinks, food, and pétanque to play with one another. Stealing the win, albeit with permission given by series leader Skitchmaster Dane, Noah came thru by surprise to everyone including himself. It was the first time we had two first place podium winners from outta town. Way to wreck it, Philly!! (NYC, what happened??)
Pipa and Jen made a comeback appearance not to race, but to volunteer to checkpoint. Thanks to each of our volunteers that came thru to support! And to Bennett and Jerry, for not just working checkpoint, but taking portraits of our racers to validate!
We celebrated our winners providing prizes from our series sponsors: Mer, with series bags reflecting jerseys of Tour de France, concrete revolt, knog, thomson - giving $125 in value to redeem, manhattan portage, ortlieb, and Chris Salucci - for producing hand made trophies for each event!
