WELCOME once again to the Galaxy of Queens, for Qboroloco 2026.

The Borolympics are back, and we’re kicking off the series in Queens as we try to find our champs to send to cmwc 2026. This series is points based, and you have an opportunity to start racking them up early. Photo points must be provided before the series finale. +1 point for the following:

• wearing NYCBMA/Borolympics gear day of the race
• video footage of your race
• purchase or bike service at the following bike shops: monkey bike, bills bike shop (MAX +1pt: must provide selfie with receipt in hand in front or inside the shop. Can be uploaded as a post or story, tag @NYCBMA on instagram, and use the #borolympics2026 hashtag)
• food from any cart on Roosevelt Avenue (must provide selfie with food in front of cart) (MAX +1pt)
• selfie in a dollar van in Jamaica
• getting a cut at the queens social

Racers pulled up to the ready penny inn, in Jackson Heights, soon after the snow had stopped to kick off the series. Everyone got in the zone with games of pool, drinks from our wonderful bartender, Maggie, and a little sugar rush from sweet tooth nyc fresh baked brookie. After the torch lighting ceremony, Qboroloco was off to a start. Racers had to lock up & find cp workers at Queens Center Mall, the food court at New World Mall, Focal Point Brewery with one selfie cp at the Rikers Island sign. For the timed portion, racers had to stay upright as they took a lap around the running track at Astoria Heights playground before heading to the finish at the queens social off of Steinway. Shoutout to Luis, the barbers and the rest of the crew at The Queens Social for the cuts, the drinks and treating us like family as we hosted the awards ceremony at their space! Thank you to monkey bike& bills bike shop, for donating prizes (especially Bill’s Bikes donating a pair of katanas for the champs!) Don’t forget to take advantage of collecting those extra points by visiting their shops before the series is over.
